The Colfax Marathon is a great opportunity for volunteers to help the city while enjoying the competition and fun atmosphere of athletes and runners from around the region. Volunteers help staff more than 100 road closure posts required while getting the opportunity to observe and cheer on the runners as they pass their intersection.Location: Multiple locations along Marathon route through Lakewood

The Sounds Exciting! Concert Series is an eclectic mix of musicians who will perform Wednesday evenings at the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation Amphitheater at Lakewood's Heritage Center. With a reputation for offering a broad and diverse lineup of artists and sounds, this series delivers six local and national acts this year, bringing a mix of traditional and contemporary concerts.Location: Lakewood Heritage Center, 801 S. The City of Lakewood is presenting the biggest and best fireworks extravaganza for the residents of Lakewood and the surrounding areas. There will be a community beer garden, food trucks, music and a kid zone and games and of course a firework show.
