This quintet brings their stories to the stage in the form of pure energy and passion for acoustic music. With gifted percussion and a driving low end, the banjo, guitar, fiddle and vocals have all the space they need to tell you a story. Love, life, loss, and whiskey are likely to be the topic of the day—come on, jump in, and get down for a spell… The band strikes traditional bluegrass with rock & roll and a kamikaze rhythmic sensibility.
Oakhurst has performed at legendary venues like the Fillmore and Red Rocks, and captured the “Best Bluegrass Band” honor in 2007 by Westword and continues to be recognized as one of the best Bluegrass bands in Colorado.

From the famous Red Rocks Amphitheater in his hometown of Denver, to tours in Doha, Qatar in the Middle East, to opening for acts like Dispatch, John Butler Trio, Trevor Hall, and The Wood Brothers, Rob’s musicality has taken him and his guitar across the world.
