A speed monitoring trailer is a portable device that displays the driver's speed and the posted speed limit. The intent is to alert drivers to their speed compared with the speed limit, and thereby improve compliance. The City has two trailers that residents can request to have placed on their street.  Numerous requests are received, and the City places speed-monitoring trailers in the order of requests, so it may take up to 2 months, or more.
