Special Olympics

Are you a sports fan and have always wanted to be on a team or play sports?  Well this is your opportunity!

The R.I.S.E. Special Olympics program offers athletes with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to participate in leagues or in individual competitions within the Special Olympics guidelines and structure.

Special Olympics Colorado mission is to “provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendships with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.”

Special Olympics Programs

R.I.S.E. offers several programs throughout the year which include:

• Bowling - Fall
• Swimming - Winter/Spring
• Flag football - Fall
• Track & Field – Winter/Spring

If you are interested in any of these sports opportunities please get involved as an athlete, coach, partner or volunteer!
