The Lakewood Police Patrol Division is the primary responder to emergency and nonemergency calls within the city. Patrol agents are assigned for a full year to one of three geographical areas (sectors) in a model of community policing called sector based policing. This model allows agents to become acquainted with home and business owners, understand the dynamics of neighborhoods, track crime trends and work with citizens to resolve community problems.
Special Teams and Community Programs
The Patrol Division is also composed of special teams and community programs to address specific issues. To learn more about these teams and programs select them on the menu to the left.
