Lakewood Therapeutic Recreation offers two summer day program options for individuals with disabilities: Camp Paha for youth ages 6 to 17 and Paha Adults in Transition (PAT) for young adults ages 18 to 25. Our goals are to:
Step 1: Complete your camper’s health profile. Pre-Registration for Paha 2019 will open on 1/1/2019 to allow families ample time to complete their camper’s health profile prior to the official registration opening on 2/14/2019. The registration fee of $50 will be due at this time.
Step 2: Registration opens on 2/14/19. At this time families may register their camper for desired sessions. Please note that you will automatically be placed on a wait list for the session. Once Paha staff has reviewed your campers profile for completeness, your camper will be promoted to the desired session if space is still available. If your camper’s health profile is incomplete, your camper will remain on the wait list until the profile is completed.
*Early Drop Off and Late Pick Up is available; campers will be appropriately supervised but there are no structured activities during this time. Early Drop Off begins at 8 a.m. and Late Pick Up is available until 5 p.m.
Offering safe, challenging and fun leisure, recreational and educational opportunities for youth ages 6-17, Camp Paha provides an array of activities including swimming, sports, games, nature, music, drama, hiking, arts and crafts and field trips within the community. Camp Paha is licensed by the State of Colorado as a childcare program.
Created in 2012, PAT is a summer day program experience tailored for young adults ages 18-25. In addition to leisure and recreation opportunities, PAT focuses on skill building and independence, developing work skills, self-advocacy, safety and life skill development. PAT participants engage in daily activities, and they plan for and go on field trips within the community.
