Community Alert - Lakewood Police to Stop Courtesy Fingerprinting Services

As of October 17, 2018 the Lakewood Police Department will no longer be able to provide courtesy fingerprint services to the public.
As of September 24, 2018 the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has implemented a new, statewide digital fingerprinting process known as the Colorado Applicant Background Services (CABS) program. The CBI awarded two contracts allowing third party vendors to electronically print and submit noncriminal applicant fingerprints for the State. The vendors who were awarded contracts to participate in the CABS program are Idemia and American BioIdentity.
Both Idemia and American BioIdentity will provide this service in multiple locations throughout the State of Colorado. For more information about the CABS program or where to go for applicant services, you can visit the CBI Employment and Background Checks website at https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/cbi/employment-background-checks.
