At a series of upcoming feedback sessions, residents will see how their comments and thoughts have shaped the future of arts, parks and recreation in Lakewood as an early draft of the Imagine Lakewood! Master Plan will be presented, and residents will be given the opportunity to provide feedback on the draft. Meetings are as follows:
- 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug.1, Clements Community Center, 1580 Yarrow St.
- 7 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 1, Bear Valley Church, 10001 W. Jewell Ave.
- 2 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 3, Lakewood Link Recreation Center, 1295 S. Reed St.
The proposed goals and actions are the result of extensive community involvement through surveys, online dialogue, public open houses and stakeholder meetings. Proposed goals and actions speak to improving existing facilities, increasing enjoyment of parks, meeting the community’s needs through engaging programs, providing new facilities and enhancing communication and promotional efforts.
The Imagine Lakewood! Master Plan will determine the priorities of the Community Resources’ efforts for the next five years.
