The Lakewood Heritage Center is once again host to the Rockin’ Block Party, a free, fun-filled evening full of games, live music and a movie under the stars, 5-11 p.m., Saturday, June 14 at Lakewood Heritage Center, 801. S. Yarrow St.
The evening kicks off with activities, museum tours and good ol’ fashioned games including potato sack races, hula hoop contests, team water balloon toss and drive a marshmallow. Enjoy affordable dinner options from one of the metro area’s first food trucks and visit the White Way Grill for dessert. Boogie Machine, playing favorites from the ’70s, takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. with a set jam packed with rockin’ tunes to get your boogie on! Bring a blanket and settle in for this year’s movie under the stars at 9 p.m., “Back to the Future.” Free popcorn will be provided by Foothills Credit Union.
