Getting the help you need just got easier. Lakewood has moved to the forefront of customer service with the launch of a new online system called Request Lakewood for residents to make requests, ask questions or raise a concern.
, the new system enhances the City’s customer service because it sends residents’ requests or concerns directly to the right staff member to take action. It also gives residents a personal tracking number for each request, allowing them to stay informed about their request and when it is completed.
The online system also is as mobile as residents are with a free Android, iPhone or iPad application. The “GORequest” app in the app store allows residents to make a request when it’s convenient to them. They can even take a picture and with a tap, submit it to the City.
“This new customer service center will help us respond to any request from a resident or business owner in a timely and courteous fashion,” said City Manager Kathy Hodgson. “It is using the best technology to make getting in touch with City Hall as easy as possible.”
With a built in translator, requests can be made in a variety of languages, and residents don’t even have to make a request to find answers to their questions. Request Lakewood provides answers to hundreds of frequently asked questions. With a pull-down menu of topics such as “barking dog” or “fences,” residents can easily find the information they want.
