Neighborhood Organizations

Register your Neighborhood Organization!

Initial registrations can use our easy form and send it in to become registered.

If you want more information on starting a neighborhood organization, please see our informative brochure.

Neighborhood organization re-registration occurs annually in January. If a neighborhood organization would like to change any pertinent information prior to the annual re-registration, the Change of Information Form can be used.

The City of Lakewood encourages neighborhood organizations to take an active role in setting directions for their neighborhoods. Through registered neighborhood organizations citizens have opportunities to become involved in local government and strengthen their community.

Benefits of participating in a registered neighborhood organization include:

  • Receiving notification about proposed land-use changes within or near the neighborhood's boundaries
  • Improved communication with neighbors
  • A raised awareness of the neighborhood's needs, concerns and desires.
