THREE VIEWS: CONTEMPORARY WORK BY TWO GENERATIONS OF LAKEWOOD ARTISTS

FREE Artist Talk: 11 a.m., Saturday, February 16
Charles, Collin and Devon, each exceptionally well regarded artists in their own right, will come together for a collection of exhibitions celebrating the creative similarities and differences between multiple family generations. Learn more about the exhibition in a recent Bravo article. Artworks in this exhibition are also on view in the Lakewood Civic Center. 

 

JEFFCO SCHOOLS FOUNDATION MIDDLE SCHOOL ART EXHIBITION
April 8-May 6
FREE Opening Reception: 5-7 p.m., Thursday, April 25
Lakewood once again is pleased to host the Jefferson County Middle School Art Exhibition sponsored by the Jeffco Schools Foundation. This exhibition showcases the district’s most outstanding student work.

JEFFCO SCHOOLS TEACHERS EXHIBITION
April 8-May 6
FREE Opening Reception: 5-7 p.m., Thursday, April 25
Featuring the work of instructors currently teaching in Jefferson County elementary, middle and high schools. Artwork includes a wide variety of mediums including painting, photography, mixed media, fiber and pottery.

The Radius Gallery

LAKEWOOD'S 50TH ANNIVERSARY
Through May 10
Visit every month for a new special exhibit related to the incorporation of the City of Lakewood in 1969. Hands-on farming activities, photos of your favorite 1970s restaurants and audio histories of former Lakewood mayors will all be available for the community.

 

Spirit of Lakewood Gallery

DECONSTRUCTION ZONE
Through January
Drop by to check out the deinstallation of Lakewood Heritage Center’s permanent gallery. Get a behind-the-scenes look at collections practices and techniques, as the exhibit gets an update. The gallery will be closed between February and May.  The new gallery will open in June 2019.
