Charles Whitlock Recreation Center will re-open the pool and locker rooms on Wednesday, August 27. All Aquatic programs will resume on Tuesday, September 2.Some of the work completed includes new tile throughout the locker room, installation of waterproofing system for all wet areas, new lighting in the pool area and the installation of a UV filter to reduce the amount of chemicals in the pool.

Join us this fall at Bear Creek Lake Park for Lakewood's popular Trail Running Series!
Prize drawings will be completed after the race. The participant must be present to win. Entrance to the park is free for registered runners.
Registration is $60 before September 1, and $65 after. Individual races are $25, and includes either a race shirt or vest.
Give your best friend a break! Bring your dog for an afternoon of fun at the Bark-N-Splash Bash. Hosted by Lakewood Recreation, these are the last days the outdoor pools are open, and your dogs will finally get a chance to cool off.
Register each dog in advance for three sessions and only pay for two!
