Celebrate a special occasion at Bear Creek Lake Park!

Five picnic shelters of varying sizes are available for reservation. Numerous picnic tables and shelters are also sprinkled throughout the park at various locations on a first come, first serve basis.

 

Picnic shelter reservations may be made in person at Bear Creek Lake Park Visitor Center, by phone or online. To help ensure that you have the best experience possible, we highly encourage you to view the shelters in-person prior to making a reservation.


Please note that commercial activities and special events (i.e. bike races, running races, sporting events, etc.) are prohibited without a valid Special Event Permit.


Payment is required at the time of reservation


This is a “live-time” procedure and you will need a credit card (Visa/MC/Disc) to complete the transaction. At the conclusion of your transaction, please be sure to print your receipt (PDF) prior to logging out. If you fail to print your receipt (park permit), please contact our main office at (303) 697-6159, Mon-Sat, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sun 9 a.m.-3 p.m., to have your receipt emailed or mailed to you. You must have a hard copy of your receipt (PDF/park permit) in your possession during your event. 


For online reservations you will need an account/ username and password to process an online shelter reservation. If you do not already have an account, you will be asked to create one before completing your reservation. If you are not sure if you have an account or you need to create one, please contact the Visitor's Center during business hours. 


NOTE: Specific questions about a shelter and/or park rules should be directed to the Visitor's Center at Bear Creek Lake Park at the number listed below. 

Alcohol Policy: Beverages with 6% alcohol content (malt beverages) are permitted without special permission. No glass containers are permitted. Alcohol greater than 6% will only be allowed with an alcohol permit, subject to the park manager's approval. The permit allows for the consumption of beverages with greater than 6% alcohol content and must be obtained either by phone or in person; 15600 W. Morrison Rd, Lakewood CO 80465.

 

Vehicle Pass: Bear Creek Lake Park rental fees do not include the daily vehicle entrance fees. Every vehicle that enters the park is required to have a park day pass. You may pre-purchase passes for yourself and guests either by phone or in person up to 24 hours prior to the event. If prepaid passes are purchased they will be available at the entrance station on the morning of the event and distributed to guests as they arrive.

 

Refund and Cancelation Policy: Full refunds/reschedule will be given for camping reservations canceled more than 4 weeks in advance of the reservation date. If the reservation is canceled 2-4 weeks in advance of the reservation date, guest will receive one half of the reservation fee. No refunds will be given for reservations that are canceled less than two weeks from reservation date. Rescheduling will be allowed with the same calendar year.

 

Online shelter reservations must be made more than 72 hours prior to the event; phone and walk-in reservations can be made day of event.
