As a short championship golf course, Homestead is a unique bridge between a championship and an executive course. Offering several sets of tees to accommodate golfers of all skill levels, Homestead measures over 5,000 yards, is a par 65 and has an elevation change of over 200 feet. The course features eight par 3’s, nine par 4’s and one par 5.
Don’t let the yardage fool you! This links-style course, designed by Denis Griffiths, will prove challenging to the best of golfers. To master this course you’ll need to use every club in your bag.
There is a complete practice facility with driving range, target greens, putting greens and a practice sand trap. The Homestead also offers two different terrains on the Nines.

Directions
The Homestead Golf Course is located on the North Hampden Frontage Road 3/4 of a mile west of Kipling Parkway in Lakewood close to Highway 285 and C-470.
Traveling from C470 east or west:
Exit C470 at Hampden Ave., or Highway 285. Proceed east on Hampden Ave for roughly 4 miles until you reach Kipling Parkway. Exit onto northbound Kipling to the first stop light which is the North Hampden Frontage Road, go left on the Frontage road roughly 1 mile. Follow the road and it will take you right up to The Homestead Golf Course.
Traveling from Kipling Parkway north or south:
Turn off Kipling Parkway at the North Hampden Frontage Road. Proceed west on the Frontage Road for 1 mile and this road will take you right to The Homestead Golf Course.
The Nines
The Mountain Nine This course plays in the bowl of Mt. Carbon, once a carbon mine from World War II. The Mountain Nine is surrounded by spectacular vistas of Denver. Enjoy quiet streams and tranquil lakes throughout the course and be sure to catch the 360-degree view from the tee box on the #13 hole.
The Prairie Nine Golf the gentle rolling hills of the Prairie Nine, part of the former Fehringer cattle ranch. Abundant wildlife and pleasant views of the course can be seen from elevated tee boxes.
Course Information
The 2013 aeration process for spring will be completed during the week of April 22-24. The fall dates are September 16-18. Only one 9-hole course will undergo aeration on a given day. Please contact the Pro Shop at 720-963-5181 for more information as to which nine is available.
