Narrative Identity through the Figure - Juried by Laura Phelps Rogers
The goal of this year's annual sculpture show, through the vision of the guest juror, is to use the figure as a means of exploring identity. The artists are challenged to recall past experiences and through the use of the figure, build a biographical or autobiographical story. That story is meant to turn views into visual listeners and evoke emotions and thoughts about one's own self.

Over the past several years, her work has focused around metal casting, casting through subsititution and combining cast materials with mixed media. A Space in Time is a continuation of her work addressing personal and familial memories that broaden into larger social and cultural topics and interpretations. We will learn more about Tesla and what he created through speaker Tom Keller. Tom is a graduate of California State University with BA in Industrial Psychology, MA in Social Science with post graduate studies in education and history. He is a member of Optimist International, Chairman of Colorado/Wyoming Speakers’ Bureau and the Lakewood Historical Society Board of Directors.
