Jefferson County Public Library plays a critical role in our community by helping people become better readers, better learners, better workers and better citizens. Libraries touch the lives of patrons every day, empowering them to enrich their lives. They strive to strengthen communities by educating our children, providing equal access to digital information, offering diverse resources for self-directed learning, supporting economic development and providing outreach to special populations.
Jefferson County Public Library has three libraries in Lakewood, including the Bookmobile. The City of Lakewood is not affiliated with JCPL but provides information about their locations as a convenience to the community.
