City Attorney: Timothy Cox

The City Attorney provides day-to-day legal advice to the City Council, City Manager, all Boards and Commissions and other City officials on ethical matters, ordinances, contracts, land use, litigation and a wide range of other legal issues. The City Attorney also oversees private law firms retained to assist the City with specialized legal matters.
Police Legal Advisor: Janet Young
The Legal Advisor provides legal advice to the Police Department on such matters as police contracts, ordinances, release of criminal justice records, police employee training, and other legal issues pertaining to the enforcement of the Colorado Criminal Code and the Lakewood Municipal Code.
Chief Municipal Prosecutor: Jenna Roth
The Municipal Prosecutor's Office is responsible for prosecuting municipal code violations, including traffic, adult and juvenile misdemeanor criminal offenses, zoning, animal and sales tax violations.
